Savage 03:30
The sound of the century, the sword of our country. We dine in the dumpsters, and sleep in the gutter. If upholding our allegiance makes us all delinquents, Then we're coming after you. If this is what it means to disturb the peace, Then the peace makers better get ready for war. All the bruises you've made sore, thirsty egos gotta clench. Like the cops in this town aren't already breathing down our necks. Where is the justice? What is your fiefdom? We wear a sleeve on our hearts, but not our hearts on our sleeves? So scream I know if you follow, we live now but we're gonna die though. Might as well ball this one up anyways. The relentless worlds against us, but we know what lies beneath. We are savage lions roaring for the summers we can live. Now I can almost feel a pulse that hits more than just skin deep. If this is what it means to disturb the peace, then the peace makers better get ready for war. Take in that breath of narcissism, exhale it as you swing. I'm drenched in the disgust of your esteem. You are the disgrace, you are the coward. This is our scene. So stay the fuck out. So scream it if you feel it, we'll bleed picking up the broken pieces. Run to the sirens of our sacred sound, walking the footsteps of our stomping grounds. The relentless worlds against us, but we know what lies beneath. We are savage lions roaring for the summers we can live. Now I can almost feel a pulse that hits more than just skin deep. If this is what it means to disturb the peace, then the peace makers better get ready for war. As you watch him bite the curb, you follow suit, and I'll be down soon. Dead to the world, we all go down.

We are all the revolution in the flesh. Some are marching out as Uncle Sam's "We Need You!"s Some are staring at the Gaslight and singin' the blues. So let us role out into the postcard sunset that fades on promises we never kept. Stray dogs are going for a dumpster dive, but where are the stray dogs gonna sleep tonight? Friends over my shoulder, we are not alone. Stars punched in the sky like morse code. Shining down on college towns, raging boys and girls. Gleaming in the darkness of an unconscious world. We came in chains. Side-stepped down the gang planks. Been stirred, but never shaken. Is the glass half-full? No. It's only half-empty. We sing, we dance. Cast out we drift. So stand fast my friend. Right here is what we came for. Where went the hearts that used to wander through our fallen city streets. When we fought back all the fierce tears of our fatality. So when the sound comes round the boardwalk, just tell me where you stand. In fleeting instances of comfort, no, our songs were never dead. We'll lift each other up in this world of nameless faces. I know that fire's still burning now somewhere. It's with a fistful of conviction, and strength where our blood runs deep That we find a reason for revolution. As we sing. We'll live for the noise. Have faith in your voice. Have heart, swing now. Let that record spin and turn it up loud. Drink down the sun, while we're still young. No, love, just wait till we strap dynamite to those Hollywood Hills. As we sing. There's something in the water my son, there's a new kinda breed in the works. So drink up my darling cause we gotta make it home, there's a new kinda breed in the works. As we sing.

Foundations bombarded. Voices are disregarded. They don't know what we stand for. The world within a spinning record. My mother, she tells me, this aint the way she raised me. I shrug my shoulders, don't let it phase me, Cause I refuse to give up the sound that saved me. Incarcerated, in this void we're waiting. Anchored by shattered hopes for this discord we're creating. But let the cowards keep grinning. Who do you think you're kidding? Slurring your drunken words while your head is spinning. Purpose discarded, weighed down and heavy hearted. Rendered by the broken dreams burning in this fire we started. They got the best of you and me and our fucking amnesty. And there will be no mercy. You're already dead, so keep digging. Lie in the arbor, life's getting harder. We're coming back now silent alarmer. Peace be with you, and also with you. No scaffolds, no shackles, no Hydes, Dr. Jeckylls. Although our souls are torn we'll open up the door. Justified by the reasons found in the things we bleed for. This is how we're feeling, these are the ships we're sailing, Sustained by steady winds, keeping this guitar wailing. Corrupt authority, the fooled majority. We shall not reconcile with this conformity. We know strength lives and breathes in solidarity. So in the end it's not so concerning, we got this fire and we'll keep it burning. Songs of disorder, across the borders. Words shot like bullets, hitting like mortars. The points that you missed, raised her in our fists. And the punks are going out tonight, in the morning they'll be so worn out. They can't stomach these words, if we're not seen we'll be heard. They can't drug us with the needle, we are the people. We die for what we spend our whole lives chasing after. This is a dance of days, it burns in all of us till we take it to our graves. I'll laugh while there gawking, cause they'll see a dead man walking.

Leave me to rot here where I stand, like dust kicked by the wind. Throat soar and all dried up, line drawn in the sand. The days are long and cold, to which I'm not a stranger. Playing dirty songs with a little sense of danger, Like our young weary hearts are confined to the sea. And generally we find the force in gravity to fail us. Everything we knew will fall right through, only to exist within us. A song to mend your broken spirit. You aint dead, I know you hear it. I will be damned if I get slammed behind the bars of silence. An empty plate is replaced with the drugs that you take, and the drinks that you drink making up for the pain. I know in these days it's a struggle to wake. We are the breath of a generation behind the basement door. Born a whole day late, and a dollar short. We could light up the boardwalk with the dreams that we've dreamt. But we were sneaking out windows as the city slept. Thrown up against the wall when everything seems okay. But things haven't changed yet. From fist pumping Virginia, to breathin' easy New Orleans, Slam-dancing California, to the city that never sleeps. Let it rain over this battle, as we weather out the storm. Let the music be your shelter, to keep you safe, keep you warm. We'll be more than what they said that we were cut out for, got the world in the palms of our hands. Fight this war, throw some blood on the floor, shake the streets wherever we dance. Sing it out loud as the rain comes down with our hearts beating in our chests. So go ahead, just nod out, and dream. Back on the shores where we were born, we'll turn our backs to the sun. Like we were young and drunk again, we'll laugh so hard pissing in the wind. Hearts swimming in sweet adrenaline, like an iron horse swimming through your veins. Those born instincts flowing upstream. Face down in the dirt, it's a burden, a curse. Living life to the full, we just wanna be heard. So hear me. For the sake of my lungs, for every chord that is strum, please let my restless soul be at ease. The weight of the world is not on our shoulders, we are the weight on the shoulders of the world. We'll be okay.
