lyrics

Rest my head where my feet have stumbled.
The dunes,
Where I escape from this concrete jungle.
The driftwood washed up on the shores from the ocean.
Convicted and afflicted when I'm runnin' on emotion.

The obstruction down the street contains their voices sreaming
Loudly.
The brutality remembered by the scars covering my body.
The aftershock of diggin' on the thought of "one and only"
The breeze,
Kickin' the wreathes around.
They tell me when I'm lonely.

In my fear of the unknown, can't spit out my words right.
Stars, guiding the way, in the absence of the daylight.
From the top, to the rock bottom,
A constant in my story,
Huggin' on the toilet basking in my morning glory.

Where we walk, we can never walk again.
Where we run, we can never run again.
Where we've hidden, we can never hide again.

I've got a home.
Here.
With the rogues.
At sixteen I'm going.
At nineteen I'm gone.

Painted are the pictures of the crazy getting saner.
Covering the pallet are the colors of my anger.
Haunted by the ghosts of the living, dead and buried.
The tide is coming in, and I'm gettin' kinda worried.

Memories from the summer.
When the thunder isn't rollin'.
Depicted is the imagery of sand between your toes,
And then on down the road,
Where the selfishness of those meet,
The egos of the jerks that are surfing down on First Street.

Why can't we just lift up each other?
It's going in one ear, and it's headed out the other.
Party in our youth instead of fillin' it with sorrow.
Living every day.
Like we're gonna die tomorrow.

Where we walk, we may never walk again.
Where we run, we may never run again.
Where we've hidden, we may never hide again.

I've got a home.
Here.
With the rogues.
At sixteen I'm going.
At nineteen I'm gone.
